We helped each other get our wires uncrossed

We each found the perfect girl who knew how to treat us right
But after a time it wasn’t me on your phone at night, saying
It’d be okay, and asking how’s your mom today
You were never good at answering, now you’re misinterpreting my lines

I never knew what it’d be like to drive past your street at night

We always said we had it best for being able to express ourselves,

Christmas day, two years ago
